This story is about the activities of an elite unit - the Special Department of the New York Police Department. What do these people do? They investigate crimes that are of a sexual nature. In court proceedings, such crimes are considered particularly serious.
The main characters of the series are detectives Olivia and Eliot. They have to investigate murders. But all these murders are not simple, they have sexual overtones. The victims were either raped before death, or castrated, or their organs were burned. Someone was hanged in the nude.
Criminals are often people about whom no one could even think that they are capable of killing.
